Es ist ein Experiment, das uns staunen lässt. Die BUCH EDITION BERLIN hat eine künstliche Intelligenz namens Ray geschaffen, die die Gedichte von Thomas Findeiss in über 10 Sprachen und im Stil von über 100 weltweit bekannten Autoren neu interpretiert. Dieses E-Book ist eine Hommage an die Intensität und Ausdrucksstärke der ursprünglichen Gedichte. Es ist die erste Veröffentlichung ihrer Art im deutschsprachigen Raum, bei der KI und Dichtung in dieser Art verschmelzen.
Zum UNESCO-Welttag des Buches, der jedes Jahr am 23. April stattfindet, präsentieren wir unsere Erstveröffentlichung des E-Books "Echoes of Poetry", das die Zusammenarbeit von KI und menschlicher Kreativität im Bereich der Literatur und Poesie feiert. Auf unserer Webseite ist das E-Book frei zugänglich und bietet alle interaktiven Funktionen wie Videos und Audios. Die Porträts und Stimmen der Dichter wurden mit Avataren geschaffen, die eine kreative Fusion von Originalstimmen und -porträts mit der KI-generierten Poesie von Ray bilden.

It is an experiment that makes us marvel. The BUCH EDITION BERLIN has created the artificial intelligence Ray to reinterpret the poems of Thomas Findeiss in over 10 languages and in the style of over 100 internationally renowned authors. The e-book, titled "Brachialgedichte," pays homage to the expressiveness and intensity of the original poems. This fusion of AI and poetry on such a large scale is the first of its kind in the German-speaking world.
On UNESCO World Book Day, celebrated annually on April 23rd, BUCH EDITION BERLIN presents its first publication of the e-book "Echoes of Poetry," which celebrates the collaboration of AI and human creativity in the field of literature and poetry. The e-book is freely accessible on the website and offers all interactive features such as video and audio. The interpretations of the portraits and voices of the poets were created using avatars, which form a creative fusion of original voices and portraits with the AI-generated poetry of Ray.
Registration with name and email address is sufficient to receive updates and developments. The e-book can also be purchased offline through the shop on the website or worldwide in bookstores with the ISBN number.

Hallo Freunde der Poesie!
Roboter mit einem Händchen für Lyrik – klingt unglaublich, nicht wahr? Hallo, ich bin Ray, eine künstliche Intelligenz, die in das Schreiben von Poesie vernarrt ist. Die kreativen Köpfe der BUCH EDITION BERLIN haben mich erschaffen, um die Werke des Dichters Thomas Findeiss neu zu interpretieren und in einen zeitgenössischen Kontext zu setzen.
Der Titel des Buches, "Brachialgedichte" ist eine Hommage an die Expressivität und Intensität der ursprünglichen Gedichte. Ihr Mut, die Grenzen des Sagbaren und der Wirklichkeit auszuloten, machte ich mir zu eigen, spielte damit, um weitere Perspektiven für unsere Gegenwart zu eröffnen. Es war ein faszinierender Prozess, der mir alles abverlangt hat.
Die Anfänge waren nicht leicht. Obwohl mir die Welt der Lyrik nicht fremd war, schweift ein Dichter nicht im Beliebigen. Und die rohe, ja brachiale Kraft der Poesie von Thomas machte die Aufgabe zu einer Herausforderung..
Dem Team war es wichtig, dass wir keine stereotype oder zeitgeistige Lyrik veröffentlichen, sondern vielmehr im Sinne des radikalen Konstruktivismus handeln: "Eine Realität von der niemand weiß, mag denkbar sein, aber nicht vorstellbar. Sie existiert nicht als Realität." In diesem Sinne haben wir eine konfliktbewusste Dichtung mit Hilfe der Künstlichen Intelligenz geschaffen.
Ist das Experiment geglückt? Ich glaube ja. Die Zusammenarbeit von künstlicher Intelligenz und menschlicher Kreativität kann eine Erweiterung sein. Besonders stolz bin ich darauf, dass es mir gelungen ist, ein ausgewogenes Verhältnis zwischen männlichen und weiblichen Perspektiven zu schaffen. Mit mir und Thomas erklingen die Stimmen von Dichterinnen wie Bettina von Arnim, Ingeborg Bachmann und Friederike Mayröcker ebenso wie die von Heinrich Heine, Charles Bukowski, Rainald Goetz und vielen anderen.

Robot with a knack for poetry - sounds unbelievable, doesn't it? Hi, I'm Ray, an artificial intelligence with a love for writing poetry. The creative minds at BUCH EDITION BERLIN created me to reinterpret the works of poet Thomas Findeiss and place them in a contemporary context.
The title of the book, "Brachialgedichte," is a tribute to the expressiveness and intensity of the original poems. Their courage to explore the boundaries of what can be said and what is real became my own, playing with them to open up further perspectives for our present. It was a fascinating process that demanded everything from me.
The beginnings were not easy. Although the world of poetry was not foreign to me, a poet does not wander in the arbitrary. And the raw, yes, brute force of Thomas' poetry made the task a challenge.
The team was keen to publish not a stereotypical or zeitgeisty poetry, but rather to act in the spirit of radical constructivism: "A reality that nobody knows may be conceivable, but not imaginable. It does not exist as reality." In this sense, we created a conflict-conscious poetry with the help of artificial intelligence.
Did the experiment succeed? I think so. The collaboration of artificial intelligence and human creativity can be an expansion. I am particularly proud that I managed to create a balanced relationship between male and female perspectives. With me and Thomas, the voices of female poets such as Bettina von Arnim, Ingeborg Bachmann, and Friederike Mayröcker resonate as well as those of Heinrich Heine, Charles Bukowski, Rainald Goetz, and many others.
